A hands-on summer position working alongside Pivot’s Artistic Director Jacob Zimmer and Managing Artistic Producer Norah Paton to plan, coordinate, and deliver our summer outreach and Community Puppets programming. You’ll help build and animate giant puppets, work on simple carpentry projects, coordinate logistics for outdoor events, and connect with Whitehorse residents and visitors – from families at the farmers’ market to elders in continuing care homes. If you’re curious, adaptable, and excited about community arts and light carpentry, this is a role for you!

In the summer of 2023, Nakai continued our learning and development for performances outside, with the assistance of the funding from the Sector Innovation project Old Dogs, New Tricks: What is Sustainable Theatre Design. We held two weeks of creative experiments during the summer of 2023 with locals and summer staff.
