Amber Berard-Althouse is a Tlingit woman from Kluane First Nation and the founder of The Land Heals, a business rooted in healing, nature, and Yukon First Nations history and culture. She leads cultural walking tours, facilitates courses and workshops on Yukon First Nations History and offers workshops in interpretation (storytelling), yoga, medicinal plants, and land acknowledgments. Amber’s work empowers others through storytelling, connection to land, and community-based healing.

Originally hailing from Perth, Ontario, Alex Hodgins has been writing songs since he was a teenager, mostly on various slips of scrap paper that were inevitably scattered in the wind. In 2020, he started putting together some of those pieces, which would turn into his first full songs. In the quiet of the pandemic, sitting on the roof of his childhood home, he compiled a notebook full of songs that he still writes in today. After moving to Whitehorse, Yukon in the fall of 2020 and settling into life in the North, Alex has continued writing songs and is pursuing music both independently and with his band, The Screendoors. Alex's debut EP Your Town is out now!

Trina Moyles is a Whitehorse-based author, journalist, and creative producer. She writes for Canadian Geographic, The Walrus, Yukon Magazine, and more. Her latest book Black Bear: A Story of Siblinghood and Survival was a national bestseller. She lives and writes in an off-grid yurt with her partner and their three rowdy dogs.**

Nicole Schafenacker is a writer, artist, and community organizer. Hard to pin down in any one field or discipline her curiosity usually leads her instead to search out vital intersections in the edges between art, wellness, and environmental + social justice. She creates plays, installations, video/audio media, community art projects, and loves a good visit to the free store to gather new materials. When she’s not making art she’s on the trail with her retired sled dog, Aliy.

Jacob Zimmer is a theatre maker, facilitator and dramaturge now living outside Whitehorse where he is Artistic Director of Pivot Theatre. In 20 years of co-creating, collaborating and producing performances and conferences, he is grateful to have worked with remarkable people in Canada and internationally. Born on Cape Breton Island, he has long been a fan of making up stories about sticks.
