When you think about who and what has shaped the person you are today, what comes to mind? A relative? A place? Something more-than-human?
Part art installation, part ritual, Choreography for Our Ancestors is an invitation to write messages on folded paper ‘maple keys’ that twirl under a dome-like structure, offering a symbolic dance for the ancestors. During the final presentation, the maple keys are burned, sending those messages to the spirit worlds.
