Christine Genier is a Wolf Clan citizen of the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council. She is a broadcaster, journalist, writer, poet, performer, and language and culture worker. Since 1995 Christine has been navigating a career spanning northern theatre, journalism, broadcasting, writing and poetry, spoken word and public speaking. She does this with honesty, humor, language and culture. Christine works to pass on her ancestral languages, Tageesh Koshé and Dawkwanjé, Kwächèl Ch’än Kwinjé (Southern Tutchone.) Christine has a passion for culture, whether ancient and ancestral or pop and futurism. Dear Star Trek arrives in Whitehorse following its 2023 development at the Available Light Film Festival (ALFF) and subsequent national presentations with Rumble Theatre and Lodge Pole Arts.

Ivan Coyote is a writer and storyteller. Born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon, they are the author of thirteen books, the creator of four films, six stage shows, and three albums that combine storytelling with music. Coyote’s books have won the ReLit Award, been named a Stonewall Honour Book, been longlisted for Canada Reads, and been shortlisted for the Hilary Weston Prize for non-fiction, and the Governor General's Award for non-fiction twice. In 2017 Ivan was given an honorary Doctor of Laws from Simon Fraser University, and in 2023 they received the first Honorary Doctor of Arts ever bestowed on anyone by Yukon University. Coyote’s stories grapple with the complex and intensely personal topics of gender identity, family, class, and queer liberation, but always with a generous heart, and a quick wit. Ivan's 13th book, Care Of, was released in June 2021 by McClelland and Stewart and their new one-person show Playlist premiered in February of 2024.

Patti Flather
Patti Flather is an award-winning playwright, theatre artist, dramaturg and author. Paradise toured nationally (MT Space/Gwaandak Theatre); it was published with Playwrights Canada Press. Her plays including Sixty Below (with Leonard Linklater), the solo show West Edmonton Mall and Where the River Meets the Sea, winner of the Canadian National Playwriting Competition, are available at the Canadian Play Outlet. Patti’s acclaimed first fiction collection is Such A Lovely Afternoon.
Patti is a co-founder and past Artistic Director for two decades of Gwaandak Theatre, dedicated to developing, producing and touring Indigenous and northern works. With Yukon Digital Theatre Collective, Patti adapted Paradise into the audio play Pieces of Paradise and co-produced other original digital stories. A winner of the BC and Yukon Book Prizes' Borealis Prize for Yukon literary contribution, Patti has an MFA in Creative Writing from UBC. She is a third-generation settler raised on the unceded territories of the Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations in North Vancouver, B.C. Patti lives with gratitude on Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta’an Kwäch’än territory in Whitehorse, Yukon. She is a proud member of Playwrights Guild of Canada and The Writers Union of Canada.

Leonard Linklater
Leonard Linklater is a playwright, co-founder and past co-artistic director of Gwaandak Theatre. Born and raised in Inuvik, N.W.T., Leonard is a citizen of the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation and now lives in Whitehorse, Yukon. He was a co-creator of Ndoo Treedyaa Gogwaandak Vuntut Gwitchin Stories in Gwich’in and English(2019); find these radio plays at https://vuntutstories.ca/. Leonard’s first play Sixty Below (co-written with Patti Flather) received seven Dora nominations in Toronto (Native Earth, 1997). Justice was featured at the National Arts Centre’s Northern Scene (Ottawa, 2013). Both are available at the Canadian Play Outlet. In 2019 he participated in the Caravan Farm Theatre National Playwrights Retreat, and in 2025 adapted Sixty Below into an audio play with Yukon Digital Theatre Collective https://sixtybelow.ca/. Leonard is a winner of the BC and Yukon Book Prizes’ Borealis Prize for Yukon literary contributions, and a member of Playwrights Guild of Canada. He is a father and grandfather, and an avid soccer player.

Lady Pisces and the Salty Sailors (LPSS) is a new original musical. It was created and produced by performing artist collective Doridea Creations Collective made up of professional musician and theatre artist; Hannah Mazurek, accomplished musician and writer; Selina Heyligers-Hare and theatre and drag artist Jordan Hope Kaltenbruner.
Their goal is to create an inclusive, interactive, and joyful experience with a performance style that is non-conforming, overt, sexually fluid and allows for true artistic expression.
Weaving elements of drag, with live original music, comedy, theatre and burlesque, LPSS is cultivating a unique form of storytelling, brought together by a combination of multiple disciplines from three multi-talented creatives.

Anneky Robie, Fayne O’Donovan, Kate McDonald of the The BandShe.
The BandShe is a Whitehorse-based, all-female trio who creates a distinctive sound rooted in rich vocal harmonies and dark indie folk influences. Featuring the skills of Fayne O’Donovan, Kate McDonald, and Anneky Robie and blending acoustic and electric instrumentation, including guitar, bass, banjo, and percussion, the band delivers a dynamic, beautifully eerie, and memorable live performance.
